Recently, public safety in Japan has been deteriorating rapidly. While crimes committed by Japanese nationals make up the vast majority, crimes committed by foreigners are worsening the situation the most. This has nothing to do with China specifically. As diverse foreigners have started coming to Japan, criminals have also entered like dust flowing in when you open a window. Vietnamese nationals are particularly numerous. It's no exaggeration to say they might be even more dangerous than Chinese criminals. Japan already faces a declining birthrate and aging population, prolonged deflationary economics, and persistently falling real wages, leading to widespread social decay. This provides ample reason for even law-abiding Japanese citizens to turn to crime. Adding foreign criminal activity to this mix makes it impossible to believe regular police forces can handle it. It's clear that in the future, walking alone at night in Japan will become dangerous. The government says it will start a Japanese version of ESTA, but it's doubtful they'll manage it before the situation worsens to its worst. Japan moves slowly, so it probably won't happen in time. Even if asked to have children in a Japan like this, today's youth are likely filled with negativity. From the young people's perspective, it's like being told to rebuild Japan from scratch, left with only the ruins devoured by the elderly. Fortunately, since Prime Minister Takaichi took office, police action against foreigners has accelerated. Perhaps the damage might be limited. Investigations are now targeting areas previously tolerated by the police. Prime Minister Takaichi's appointment may even signal a reversal of Japan's previous stance toward foreigners. Enforcement has become that strict. News reports even say the location of a hideout was uncovered from the smartphone of one arrested Vietnamese national, leading to the apprehension of ten Vietnamese individuals. This is surely welcome news for foreigners working diligently. For those foreigners who have turned to crime irresponsibly, there will likely be no place to hide within Japan going forward. The Japanese police are excellent. I'm not saying anything bad. It's in your best interest not to even consider coming to Japan to commit crimes.
