The Japanese spirit is built on mutual support and mutual help. And we don't reject good people.
That's why we tend to interpret the bad manners of some foreign tourists as the fault of all foreigners.
But remember this: There are smart people in Japan too. They know the difference between good and bad foreigners, so they won't exclude you, a person of good sense.
From now on, Japan will see a major shift in the elimination of bad foreigners. If the LDP wins the election, we will undoubtedly create a Japanese society where foreigners who commit misdeeds are ruthlessly excluded.
Why did this happen? The Chinese are largely to blame. It's also due to what China has done to Japan as a country. They got too cocky.
Most Japanese are astonished and repulsed by the way China has wreaked havoc on Japan using their economic superiority. Some even think it's okay to discriminate against Chinese people just because they're Chinese.
Japan's upcoming election is not a choice between choosing the Liberal Democratic Party or not, but a choice between siding with America or China.
Chinese people, individually, may seem like nothing more than a nuisance, but when they band together in Japan, they pose a significant threat. This is because they cannot defy the Chinese Communist Party.
While most Japanese people are unaware of the Chinese Communist Party's intentions, the current Japanese government is confident that they understand them.
That's why they are rushing to create systems to control foreigners, such as establishing a new intelligence agency and enacting anti-espionage laws. This is not to be wary of the actions of foreigners in general, but to monitor and understand the movements of Chinese people.
Of course, since this will become an international issue, the Japanese government is not planning to pick a fight with China.
However, like the last election, this election will likely also center on how to treat foreign forces in Japan, which will likely shift public opinion in favor of the Japanese government's actions.
One example is the misuse of the "business manager visa." Someone set up a paper company in Japan with capital of 5 million yen and, despite having no actual business operations, free-riding on Japan's social security system. This has recently been frequently covered in the media and is now well-known to many Japanese people.
There are also numerous cases of people returning home without paying medical bills despite receiving treatment at a hospital. It wouldn't be surprising if the day came when people without travel insurance were banned from entering Japan.
The reality is that the foolish behavior of these foreigners has reached many Japanese people through the election, and in a sense, many have woken up.
The actions of Chinese people in particular often make Japanese people sensitive. This topic could take up an entire essay, so I'll skip it.
Since you're traveling to Japan, I hope you enjoy it and, if possible, come back again. That's why I ask you to remember that Japanese people are very strict about manners, so sometimes it's best to be a little too strict.
Traveling is a great way to refresh yourself, but don't overdo it!
That's all for today.
Next time, maybe I'll write about the foolish actions of the Kurds...
